What is scientific inquiry?
Scientific inquiry refers to the diverse ways in which scientists study the natural world and propose explanations based on the evidence derived from their work.

Observations and Inferences
Observations are FACTS. These are things that you can see, hear, feel, or taste.
Examples: The fawn is laying in the grass. The fawn has spots. The grass is green. The fawn has his head down. It is warm.
Inferences are EXPLANATIONS of observations.
Examples: The deer is tired. The deer is hiding from predators. It is summer.
